Enoshima Waikiki Cafe Manga Licensed by Manga Planet!

A little late on this news but Manga Planet has finally licensed their first Neko Panchi manga at last! Manga Planet provided the following summary for Enoshima Waikiki Cafe:

“Cafe Waikiki is so empty that owner-chef Yori swears he’s been hearing voices. Why isn’t he getting any customers? His cooking can’t be that bad, and it’s not like he’s in the wrong location, so what other reason could there be for this to happen?”

Review: Skip-beat! Volumes 1-43

Skip-beat has been a part of my life since high school. The series has always had a bizarre sense of humor and, as I got older, it was something I fell in love with again. There was something about Kyoko and the rest of the cast that makes you invested in the world and characters. Kyoko’s journey to the top of stardom was something which came about from the darkest chapter in her life so seeing her grow as a person through the course of the series was a great joy to follow. If you have the time and are willing to put in the effort for a slow romance acting manga I recommend you check this diamond in the rough out.

Why I Enjoy Harvest Moon/Story of Seasons

I thought I’d share and personally explore what it is that draws me to the Bokujou Monogatari series. I’ve been playing the series since Harvest Moon 64. Over time my passion for the series has slowly built upon itself as each game in the series does upon the ones before them. As I live in a more rural setting, games such as Harvest Moon and Animal Crossing have always appealed to me. There’s just something charming about these games that proves as a sort of escapism from how stressful real life can be. There’s a zen like peaceful tone to these games that would ultimately end up shaping my pacifist ideologies and beliefs. Ultimately Harvest Moon ended up making me who I am today, flaws and all. Yasuhiro Wada is someone who I look up to greatly as a creator the gentleness of the properties he attaches his name too are like nothing else I’ve come across outside of Animal Crossing. There’s just something to Harvest Moon and Story of Seasons that keeps me going when I’m most down on myself. It provides me with something fun and positive to occupy my time rather than wallowing. There are no enemies it’s just you and nature.

Sailor Moon Season (dub) 1 Review

Sailor Moon season 1 has an amazing faithful to the original subtitle track while still updating when needed. The performances by most of the cast were rather moving and even the less than spectacular one still had stand out moments. It was nice not having to read subtitles and still have an accurate representation of what was happening. The old English dub, corniness and all, still holds a fond place in my childhood and this one did more than enough to surpass it. For fans of the franchise this is a treat not to be missed!
